What are “Assault” Weapons Liberals cannot let go of their fascination with, and fear (real or feigned) of, “assault weapons.” During the 2008 campaign Barak Obama said that he would like to restore and make permanent the federal ban on these firearms enacted in 1994 which automatically expired in 2004. |

Recently, disgraced former CBS news reader Dan Rather filed a lawsuit against CBS and its parent company, Viacom, alleging that he had been made the “scapegoat” in a discredited story about President Bush’s service in the Texas Air National Guard during the Vietnam war. Liberals have beaten this drum for nearly eight years attempting to smear Bush as having “sat out” Vietnam. Did he “sit it out?” |
